The city of Crestview, located in Okaloosa County, Fl was founded in 1916. Crestview received its name because of its location between the Shoal and Yellow Rivers.

Crestview, originally a natural development coming from the introduction of railroad services to the west panhandle of Florida, was once tagged “the icebox of Florida.” This being Largely due to it having the coldest winters in Florida. Crestview also has the convergence of Interstate Road 10, State Road 85, and U.S. 90, its other nickname “Hub City.”
